GigaDevice Enters EEPROM Market with New GD24CL I²C Series

GigaDevice, a semiconductor company specializing in Flash memory, 32-bit microcontrollers (MCUs), sensors, and analog products, has announced the launch of its new GD24CL series I²C EEPROM. The series is built to deliver strong performance, comprehensive security protection, and high reliability, addressing the demanding requirements of stable, long-term storage for critical configuration data. These capabilities are intended to benefit applications across industrial, energy, Internet-of-Things (IoT), data center, and networking sectors. As GigaDevice's first EEPROM product series, the launch expands the company's non-volatile memory portfolio and gives customers a broader range of storage options.

Reliability was a core design priority for the GD24CL series from the outset. The devices support up to 4 million program/erase cycles, four times higher than the industry standard, allowing for dependable operation in scenarios involving frequent parameter updates. Data retention extends up to 100 years, ensuring stored information remains stable over the long term. The devices also integrate hardware-level Error Correction Code (ECC) functionality to improve data integrity and system reliability, and they support an extended operating temper...
