ROHM has developed the AG16xFNxx Series, a lineup of 80V power MOSFETs designed for 48V power supply systems in automotive applications. These systems are gaining attention as an efficient alternative to conventional 12V power supplies, with widespread adoption expected around 2030.

The new MOSFETs enable downsizing compared to standard TO-252 packages (6.6 × 10.0 mm). They are available in the HPLF5060 package (4.9 × 6.0 mm) with Gull-Wing Leads and the DFN3333 package (3.3 × 3.3 mm) with Wettable Flank Technology. Both contribute to improved reliability on printed circuit boards. Copper Clip Junction Technology enhances heat dissipation and supports high current handling.

All models in the series comply with the automotive reliability standard AEC-Q101.

The product lineup includes the following models (with additional variants under development):

- HPLF5060 Package:
  - AG160FNS4FRA: 120 A, RDS(on) max 3.2 mΩ
  - AG161FNS4FRA: RDS(on) max 4.2 mΩ
  - AG162FNS4FRA: RDS(on) max 12 mΩ
  - AG163FNS4FRA: RDS(on) max 33 mΩ

- DFN3333 Package:
  - AG165FNH7FRA: 40 A, RDS(on) max 7.9 mΩ
  - AG166FNH7FRA: RDS(on) max 11.7 mΩ
  - AG167FNH7FRA: RDS(on) max 33 mΩ

ROHM plans to expand the lineup with additional models in these packages and is developing TOLG (TO-Leaded with Gullwing, 9.9 × 11.7 mm) packaged products.

The MOSFETs are intended for automotive 48V systems, including main inverter control circuits, electric motors, and electric water pumps.
