HDMI to MIPI DSI converter IC

Toshiba is sampling HDMI to MIPI Display Serial Interface (DSI) converter IC TC358779XBG. TC358779XBG bridge IC is designed for use in consumer and industrial electronics applications that use small form-factor LCD displays. Mass production of TC358779XBG is scheduled to start in December 2013.

TC358779XBG is suitable for small form-factor LCD displays in applications that include game accessories, wearable computers and head-mounted products.

TC358779XBG integrates video preprocessing functions such as video de-interlacing, scaling and format conversion and supports multiple audio interfaces, including the I2S, TDM, S/PDIF and MIPI Serial Low-power Inter-chip Media Bus (SLIMbus) audio formats.

The other features include support for HDMI 1.4 RX and support up to 1080P @ 60fps video format (RGB, YCbCr444: 24-bpp, YCbCr422 24-bpp), HDCP 1.3, 3D support.
TC358779XBG is available in any of the four audio interfaces: I2S, TDM, SPDIF or SLIMbus.
Maximum 1Gbps/lane link speed MIPI DSI interface
Maximum 165MHz clock speed HDMI interface
