India’s Growing Semiconductor Ecosystem
India continued to strengthen its semiconductor foundation this week. President Droupadi Murmu virtually inaugurated the Semiconductor Training Fabrication Facility at IISc’s Centre for Nano Science and Engineering. This dedicated training fab will help develop skilled talent for India’s expanding chip manufacturing sector.
The Conference on Semiconductor Ecosystem in India (COSEIn) 2026 is scheduled for June 19 at IISc to review national progress.
In international collaboration, Taiwan and India signed their first semiconductor-focused academia-industry MOU in Chennai.
