NOVOSENSE Launches Integrated Low-Voltage Motor Driver Family Targeting Industrial Automation and Smart Appliances

NOVOSENSE Microelectronics is showcasing a new lineup of motor driver ICs at PCIM Europe 2026, covering two distinct application needs: brushed DC motor control for smart appliances and compact equipment, and multi-channel low-side driving for industrial PLC and factory automation systems.

As industrial equipment and smart home devices become more sophisticated, the electronics controlling their motors face tighter requirements, lower electromagnetic interference, smarter fault detection, fewer external components, and smaller board footprints. Meeting all of these simultaneously has traditionally required more chips and more design effort. NOVOSENSE's new portfolio addresses this by packing more intelligence and protection directly into the driver IC itself.

These three devices are brushed DC motor drivers operating up to 40V, each targeting a different current range. The NSD7305 handles the highest loads at 21A peak current with 47mΩ on-resistance, suited for more demanding industrial applications. The NSD7308 covers mid-range needs at 12A peak with 84mΩ, while the compact NSD7309 targets space-constrained smart home devices at 8A peak and 120mΩ. All three support standard H-bridge configurations  meaning they can drive a motor in both forward and reverse directions from a single chi...
