Global Semiconductor Sales Reach $82.5 Billion in January 2026, Up 46.1% Year-to-Year

The Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) announced that global semiconductor sales totaled $82.5 billion in January 2026, based on data compiled by the World Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS) organization as a three-month moving average.

This represents a 3.7% increase from December 2025 sales of $79.6 billion and a 46.1% increase from January 2025 sales of $56.5 billion.

John Neuffer, SIA president and CEO, stated that the global chip market continued to grow in January 2026 following the industry's highest-ever sales total in 2025. He noted that sales into the Asia Pacific region and China drove the year-to-year growth, with global sales projected to reach roughly $1 trillion in 2026.
