NVIDIA Invests $2 Billion in CoreWeave to Support 5GW AI Factory Expansion by 2030
NVIDIA and CoreWeave announced an expansion of their existing relationship on January 26, 2026, focused on accelerating the construction of AI infrastructure. CoreWeave plans to build out more than 5 gigawatts of AI factories by 2030. These facilities will use NVIDIA's accelerated computing platform technology and will be developed and operated by CoreWeave.
As part of the agreement, NVIDIA invested $2 billion in CoreWeave Class A common stock at $87.20 per share. This investment positions NVIDIA as a significant shareholder in CoreWeave.
The collaboration includes several elements:
- CoreWeave will adopt multiple generations of NVIDIA infrastructure, including early deployment of the Rubin platform, Vera CPUs, and BlueField storage systems.
- NVIDIA will use its financial resources to help CoreWeave secure land, power, and physical infrastructure for the AI factories.
