VeriSilicon VIP9000NanoOi-FS NPU IP Achieves ISO 26262 ASIL B Functional Safety Certification

VeriSilicon  announced that its NPU IP core VIP9000NanoOi-FS has received ISO 26262 ASIL B certification from SGS-TÜV Saar.

The VIP9000NanoOi-FS is part of the VIP9000 series and is designed for automotive and edge AI applications. It supports inference for large language models (LLMs) and convolutional neural networks (CNNs), with hardware acceleration for real-time tasks including object and scene detection, augmented reality, robotics, face and gesture tracking, visual inspection, video surveillance, and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).

The IP features a programmable SIMD vision pipeline, supports multiple data types, and maintains deterministic latency required for ASIL B compliance.

It provides hardware support for OpenVX API and is compatible with software stacks and tools supporting OpenCL 3.0, OpenCL 1.2 Full Profile, OpenVX 1.3, OpenVX 1.2 Neural Network Extension, and related OCL, OVX, and neural network extensions.
