NVIDIA Invests $2 Billion in Synopsys, Expands Partnership on CUDA, Agentic AI, and Omniverse Digital Twins

NVIDIA and Synopsys announced an expanded multi-year strategic partnership that integrates NVIDIA’s CUDA accelerated computing, agentic AI technologies, and Omniverse digital twin platform with Synopsys’ electronic design automation and simulation software.

NVIDIA purchased $2 billion of Synopsys common stock at $414.79 per share.

The collaboration includes five core initiatives:

Acceleration of Synopsys’ compute-intensive applications  including chip design, physical verification, molecular simulations, electromagnetic analysis, and optical simulation — using NVIDIA CUDA-X libraries and AI-Physics technologies.
Integration of Synopsys AgentEngineer technology with NVIDIA’s agentic AI stack, comprising NIM microservices, NeMo Agent Toolkit software, and Nemotron models, to enable autonomous design and simulation workflows.
Development of digital twin solutions using NVIDIA Omniverse, Cosmos, and related technologies for virtual design, testing, and validation in the semiconductor, robotics, aerospace, automotive, energy, industrial, and healthcare sectors.
Deployment of cloud-accessible GPU-accelerated engineering solutions.
Joint go-to-market activities leveraging Synopsys’ global sales force and channel partners, including the existing agreement to license, sell, and support NVIDIA Omniverse technolo...
