Navitas Partners with Cyient Semiconductors to Build GaN Ecosystem in India for AI Data Centers, EV, and Grid Applications
Navitas and Cyient Semiconductors Form Strategic Partnership to Develop GaN Solutions for India’s AI, EV, and Industrial Markets
Navitas Semiconductor and Cyient Semiconductors have entered a long-term strategic partnership to advance gallium nitride (GaN) technology adoption in India.
The collaboration will focus on co-development of GaN-based products, digital and mixed-signal ICs, GaN system modules, and design enablement platforms targeting high-voltage, high-power applications in AI data centers, electric mobility, high-performance computing, energy grid infrastructure, and industrial electrification.
The partnership includes plans to establish a local GaN supply chain and manufacturing ecosystem in support of the Indian government’s “Make in India” initiative.
Products will be based on Navitas’ existing GaN technologies and new designs tailored for Indian market requirements. Cyient Semiconductors will handle design, manufacturing, and supply-chain development for GaN products in India.
Suman Narayan, CEO of Cyient Semiconductors, stated: “By combining Navitas’ proven GaN technology with Cyient Semi’s design, manufacturing, and supply-chain strengths, we’re creating a self-sustaining ecosystem that will accelerate the market adoption of GaN.”
