MUFG Bank and Fujitsu Partner to Build Data-Driven Preventive Health Ecosystem in Japan

MUFG Bank, Ltd. and Fujitsu Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on August 1 to develop a preventive health ecosystem addressing Japan’s challenges of a super-aging population and rising lifestyle-related diseases. The partnership focuses on integrating data-driven health promotion and prevention solutions to create new services in the health sector.

Japan’s Personal Health Record (PHR) services, which manage individual health data such as exercise, diet, and sleep, face challenges due to fragmented data and lack of standardized interoperability. To address this, MUFG Bank leverages its network and commitment to business co-creation, while Fujitsu contributes its expertise in system development and data utilization. The collaboration aims to enable seamless data linkage across companies to build an effective preventive health ecosystem with partner enterprises.
