Keysight and Synopsys launch AI-powered RF design migration flow for TSMC N6RF+ to N4P transition
Keysight and Synopsys announced an AI-powered RF design migration flow to facilitate the transition from TSMC’s N6RF+ to N4P process node. The solution integrates Keysight’s Electromagnetic Simulator and Synopsys’ AI-driven RF design migration tools with TSMC’s Analog Design Migration (ADM) methodology to streamline the redesign of passive devices and components for the N4P process.
The workflow incorporates Synopsys Custom Compiler layout environment, Synopsys ASO.ai for analog and RF design migration, Synopsys PrimeSim circuit simulator, and Keysight RFPro for device parameterization, automated value fitting, and electromagnetic simulation. This setup enables RF circuit designers to meet performance metrics and adhere to N4P process rules, supporting applications requiring high-performance wireless integrated circuits.
The migration flow leverages AI to optimize design parameters and re-create simulation models with layouts tuned to the N4P process, reducing manual effort and trial-and-error. It allows designers to reuse existing N6RF+ device libraries and intellectual property, improving return on investment. The solution eliminates the need for time-consuming data handoffs or specialized domain expertise, enhancing productivity for RF circuit designers.
