TDK introduces 0201 size high-frequency inductors for compact devices

TDK Corporation announced the MUQ0201022HA series of high-frequency inductors in the 0201 size (0.25 x 0.125 x 0.2 mm), the smallest in the industry for their electrical characteristics, matching those of the larger MHQ0402PSA series (0.4 x 0.2 mm). The series offers inductances from 0.6 nH to 3.6 nH in fine increments, using multilayer method technology, and operates within a temperature range of -55 °C to +125 °C.

Using proprietary patterning and sintering technologies, TDK achieved high-frequency characteristics comparable to or surpassing existing products, while reducing the component mounting area by approximately half. The inductors address the demand for compact, high-performance components in mobile devices like smartphones and wearables. Mass production began in May 2025, with plans to expand the lineup to meet customer needs.
