SiMa.ai and Wind River partner to integrate AI/ML solutions for edge applications

SiMa.ai, a company specializing in embedded edge machine learning system-on-chip (MLSoC), and Wind River, a provider of software for the intelligent edge, have collaborated to create an integrated hardware and software solution for edge AI applications.
The solution combines SiMa.ai’s MLSoC platform with Wind River’s eLxr Pro, a commercial support service for the Debian-based eLxr project, enabling developers to customize and accelerate deployment. The integration uses the open-source eLxr distribution, supported by Wind River’s enterprise-grade security, stability, and compliance features.

Krishna Rangasayee, CEO and founder of SiMa.ai, stated that the partnership addresses AI needs, including generative AI, across industries such as robotics, industrial automation, medical, automotive, and aerospace. Avijit Sinha, Senior Vice President of Strategy and Global Business Development at Wind River, noted that the collaboration supports real-time AI applications by combining SiMa.ai’s MLSoC platform with Wind River’s edge technologies.
