GACL Invests Rs 67 Crore in Dahej Plant to Produce Semiconductor-Grade High Purity Hydrogen Peroxide Chemical

Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited informed that its Board of Directors, at the meeting held on 29 May 2026, approved the setting up of a 5000 TPA (100%) High Purity Grade Hydrogen Peroxide plant at Dahej, Gujarat, at an estimated investment of Rs 67 crore.

The plant will enable the company to produce High Purity Grade Hydrogen Peroxide chemical for niche applications in semiconductor fabrication, solar cell manufacturing, and other advanced electronics applications for which manufacturing units are being put up in India.

The project is planned to go on stream in 18 months from the zero date, defined as the kick-off meeting with the technology supplier. Once implemented, the high purity grade Hydrogen Peroxide plant is expected to contribute approximately Rs 42 crore to the company’s annual sales revenue.

Funding for the project will be met from surplus internal operations, with any need-based gap financed through borrowings.
