Intel Corporation announced the appointment of Aparna Bawa as Executive Vice President and chief legal & people officer. Bawa will report directly to CEO Lip-Bu Tan. She will lead Intel’s global legal, ethics, compliance, people, and culture organizations.
Prior to joining Intel, Bawa served as chief operating officer at Zoom, where she oversaw operational, legal, and people functions. Before Zoom, she held senior legal and leadership roles in the technology industry with expertise in corporate governance, global compliance, employment, M&A, and organizational transformation.
In her new role at Intel, Bawa will be responsible for strengthening the company’s legal and compliance foundation, advancing a high-performance culture, and ensuring the people strategy supports long-term business priorities. She will contribute to shaping Intel’s leadership culture, talent strategy, and governance. Bawa is scheduled to join Intel in May.
Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan stated that the role of legal and people leadership is critical as the company drives cultural transformation with discipline, speed, and integrity. Bawa’s appointment underscores Intel’s focus on strengthening leadership, accountability, and execution under Tan’s leadership.
