India Semiconductor Sector Signs Multiple MoUs at SemiConnect2026 and IESA VS 2026

Several memoranda of understanding (MoUs) and initiatives were formalised in India's semiconductor and electronics sector during the Gujarat SemiConnect Conference 2026 at Gandhinagar Gujarat and India Electronics and Semiconductor Association Vision Summit (IESA VS) 2026 in Bengaluru.

At SemiConnect2026:

 Hotayi Electronics (Malaysia) signed an MoU with the Government of Gujarat to set up an advanced electronics manufacturing facility at Sanand GIDC focused on SSD and memory module production.

HORIBA India signed an MoU with the Government of Gujarat to establish a semiconductor R&D centre in Ahmedabad for massflow meters and advanced materials.

Kaynes Semicon entered a strategic MoU with Ahmedabad-based space tech startup SpectraGaze at SemiConnect2026. The two entities will target investment opportunities to design and develop LEO/GEO satellite systems for tracking and detection applications, with an investment of Rs. 3,500 crore.

HYSPEC signed an MoU with the Government of Gujarat to establish a facility valued at over ₹750 crore for semiconductor-grade Hydrofluoric Acid, supporting specialty-chemical supply for fabs and ATMPs.

Suchi Semicon and ROHM Semiconductor announced a strategic semiconductor manufacturing partnership for OSAT, IC packaging, and component development.
