Rajesh Vaddempudi Highlights AI-Driven Challenges and India's Rising Role in Semiconductor Testing and Manufacturing
Rajesh Vaddempudi, Managing Director of Advantest India, delivered an optimistic keynote address on the future of semiconductor manufacturing, asserting that India is well-positioned to emerge as a major production nation in the global industry. Speaking at a prominent industry event focused on enabling India as a semiconductor hub, Vaddempudi highlighted the rapid evolution of the sector driven by artificial intelligence and urged accelerated yet stable execution to capitalize on emerging opportunities.
Vaddempudi, who brings more than 26 years of experience in semiconductor test and product engineering including a distinguished tenure at Texas Instruments, underscored the projected growth of the global semiconductor market to $1 trillion in revenues by 2030. He noted that while past waves of expansion were fueled by personal computers, the internet, and smartphones, the current surge is propelled by AI. This technology extends far beyond data centers into edge computing, AI-enabled smartphones, robotics, and autonomous devices, introducing unprecedented complexity across industries.
