Baya Systems Partners with Aion Silicon on SoC and Chiplet Design Solution Amid Rising Chiplet Adoption in AI and HPC

|

Chiplet-ready semiconductor fabric IP developer Baya Systems is partnering with VLSI design services company Aion Silicon (formerly Sondrel), an ASIC and SoC architecture and design services provider to provide a joint solution for faster definition, design, and deployment of complex SoC and chiplet-based systems to shared customers. This partnership aimed at the growing trend toward chiplet architectures in 2026, as heterogeneous integration and modular designs address scaling demands in AI, HPC, and related fields.

The solution integrates Baya’s WeaverPro FabricStudio and WeaveIP fabric technology with Aion’s VLSI semiconductor chip design services in system architecture, integration, and silicon implementation. This combination creates an end-to-end approach that reduces development risk and time-to-silicon while supporting scalable system designs. Companies claim early adopters have reported improved performance predictability, seamless scalability, and a faster path to production.

Baya’s software-defined fabric architecture serves as a unified data-movement backbone that connects compute, memory, and accelerators, handling both coherent and non-coherent traffic on a single fabric. Aion provides turnkey design and integration services to convert complex system requirements into production-ready silicon for single-die and multi-die platform...
