Lam Research India MD spotlights $50B Supply Chain Opportunity and AI-Driven Semiconductor Boom at IESA Vision Summit 2026

In a compelling keynote address at the India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA) Vision Summit 2026, Rangesh Raghavan, Managing Director and Corporate Vice President of Lam Research India, painted an optimistic picture of India's rising role in the global semiconductor industry amid the AI boom and geopolitical shifts.

Raghavan, who returned to India five years ago during the COVID-19 pandemic after nearly 30 years overseas bringing his total industry experience to 34 years shared a deeply personal connection to the sector's evolution in the country. He recounted attending the launch of TI first facility in Bangalore as a high school boy, thanks to his father's involvement in selling chips after working at National Semiconductor. Today, his office sits across the lake from that same TI site, symbolizing the industry's dramatic progress over four decades.

Describing the current moment as "heartwarming" and unprecedented, Raghavan emphasized the semiconductor industry's central position in powering the AI era.
