Imagination Technologies has appointed Markus Mosen as its Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately, according to an announcement from the company's Board of Directors. Ray Bingham, Executive Chairman of Imagination, stated that the Board aims to position the company as a key provider of semiconductor IP for graphics and AI at the edge. He noted that Mosen brings a track record in scaling international semiconductor businesses and insight into relevant markets.
Mosen previously led WeEn Semiconductors, a bipolar power technology company, for over a decade. Before that, he held Vice President positions at NXP Semiconductors and Vice President and General Manager roles at Infineon Technologies Asia Pacific.
In his statement, Mosen described joining Imagination as timely, citing the company's history in semiconductor innovation and its technology roadmap for graphics and AI at the edge. He mentioned Imagination's existing customer base across various markets and its engineering team, adding that his focus will include providing leadership, operational improvements, and customer experience enhancements to support growth.
Imagination Technologies, headquartered in the UK, pioneered computer graphics hardware and holds an extensive portfolio of foundational patents. The company licenses GPU designs to chipmakers serving consumer, industrial, computing, and automotive sectors. In 2025, more than 250 million devices shipped with Imagination IP.
Mosen succeeds interim CEO Didier Lamouche, who returns to a non-executive Director role on the Board. The Board expressed thanks to Lamouche for his service in the interim period.
