GS Microelectronics Secures $35 Million Series B Funding Led by Maverick Silicon for Semiconductor Platform Expansion
GS Microelectronics, a San Jose, California-based provider of customized silicon solutions, announced the completion of a $35 million Series B funding round. The round was led by Maverick Silicon, a division of Maverick Capital focused on the semiconductor and computing infrastructure sector.
The funding aims to expand GSME's semiconductor services platform, which covers advanced packaging, design enablement, and supply chain visibility. This follows a period that included strategic acquisitions to integrate specialized talent and methodologies into the company's portfolio.
Farhat Jahangir, Founder, President, and CEO of GSME, stated that the partnership with Maverick Silicon represents a milestone and reflects confidence in the company's strategy to develop a transparent, value-driven ecosystem for semiconductor services.
Manish Muthal, Senior Managing Director at Maverick Silicon, noted that GSME combines transparency, innovation, and customer-centric solutions, with its approach to supply chain visibility positioning the company in the industry.
GSME plans to use the proceeds to accelerate research and development, expand platform development, and support strategic acquisitions and hiring.
