India Approves ₹41,863 Crore Investments Under ECMS Third Tranche for PCBs, Li-ion Cells, and Display Modules

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has approved 22 proposals under the third tranche of the Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS), involving a projected investment of ₹41,863 crore and projected production of ₹2,58,152 crore on 2nd Jan 2026. These approvals are expected to create 33,791 direct employment opportunities.

This follows earlier approvals of 24 applications involving ₹12,704 crore in investment. The approved projects cover manufacturing of 11 target segment products with applications in mobile manufacturing, telecom, consumer electronics, strategic electronics, automotive, and IT hardware. These include five bare components (PCB, Capacitors, Connectors, Enclosures, and Li-ion Cell), three sub-assemblies (Camera Module, Display Module, and Optical Transceiver), and three supply chain items (Aluminium Extrusion, Anode Material, and Laminate (Copper Clad)).
