CES 2026: AMD Announces Ryzen AI 400 Series, Ryzen AI Max+, Ryzen 7 9850X3D Processors and ROCm 7.2 Software
AMD unveiled new processors and software at CES 2026, including the Ryzen AI 400 Series and Ryzen AI PRO 400 Series for Copilot+ PCs, additional Ryzen AI Max+ SKUs, the Ryzen AI Halo mini-PC platform, and the Ryzen 7 9850X3D desktop processor.
The Ryzen AI 400 Series and Ryzen AI PRO 400 Series processors use βZen 5β architecture and second-generation XDNA 2 NPUs delivering up to 60 TOPS of NPU AI compute, with up to 12 CPU cores and integrated Radeon 800M Series graphics. The Ryzen AI PRO 400 Series includes AMD PRO Technologies for security, manageability, and platform stability.
Systems with Ryzen AI 400 Series and Ryzen AI PRO 400 Series processors will be available from OEMs including Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, GIGABYTE, and Lenovo starting in Q1 2026, with desktops in Q2 2026.
New Ryzen AI Max+ 392 and Ryzen AI Max+ 388 processors extend the Ryzen AI Max+ Series to ultra-thin laptops, workstations, and small form-factor systems, combining βZen 5β cores, Radeon 8060S Series graphics, and XDNA 2 NPUs.
Systems with these Ryzen AI Max+ processors will be available from partners including Acer and ASUS starting in Q1 2026, with more throughout the year.
