Arteris Acquires Cycuity for Semiconductor Cybersecurity 2025

Arteris, announced a definitive agreement to acquire Cycuity, Inc., a provider of semiconductor cybersecurity assurance. The acquisition adds Cycuity’s technology to Arteris’ portfolio for data movement security in chiplets and SoCs.

The acquisition addresses cyberattacks targeting data in semiconductors from AI data centers to edge devices, including autonomous driving, aerospace, drones, robotics, and consumer electronics.

K. Charles Janac, president and CEO of Arteris, stated that hardware security is at an inflection point due to data traversing SoCs and chiplets. The addition of Cycuity’s products will enable secure on-chip data movement.

Semiconductor cybersecurity assurance addresses vulnerabilities at the hardware layer. According to the US Department of Commerce’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), reported new Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) in hardware grew by over 15 times in the last five years.

Cycuity products mitigate security vulnerabilities across the SoC hardware development cycle, covering IP blocks, XPUs, subsystems, chiplets, full SoCs, and firmware. The products integrate with EDA tool flows from Cadence, Siemens EDA, and Synopsys to identify, verify, and resolve risks before ...
