Silicon Labs Executives Discuss IoT Strategy and India Operations at Works With Event in Bangalore

At the Works With event held in Bangalore on October 30, 2025, Silicon Labs executives Ross Sabolcik (Senior VP and GM, Industrial and Cmmercial IoT ), Manish Kothari (Senior VP for Software and India R&D Head), and John Dixon (Global Head of Communications and American Sales) addressed journalists. The session covered the company's focus on wireless connectivity for IoT, its platform approach, market opportunities, and operations in India.

Silicon Labs concentrates on wireless connectivity for IoT, excluding cellular. The company supports multiple technologies and targets both large vertical markets and smaller customers producing tens of thousands of units annually. Its platform allows scalability from high-volume products like light bulbs (tens of millions of units) to low-volume items like pet doors (50,000 units). Hardware and software integration has been part of the company's approach since inception. It acquired Ember, which contributed to Zigbee standards and wrote Thread specifications.
