Bengaluru Tech Summit 2025: Karnataka Announces 200-Acre Semiconductor Park
The 28th edition of the Bengaluru Tech Summit 2025, described as Asia’s largest tech conclave, opened with international delegations that included ambassadors, ministers, consuls general, diplomats, innovators, entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and technology professionals.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah inaugurated the three-day summit and addressed the gathering, reiterating the state’s positioning as a partner in deep tech, advanced manufacturing, R&D, startups, and future industries.
Key announcements made during the inaugural session:
- Development of a 200-acre state-of-the-art Semiconductor Park to serve as a national and state-level innovation hub for the semiconductor ecosystem, with all required facilities for companies.
- Allocation of ₹600 crore to support companies working in AI, machine learning, quantum computing, robotics, advanced manufacturing, and sustainable innovation.
- Reservation of space for R&D centers within the planned 5,000-acre KWIN City (Knowledge, Wellbeing, and Innovation City).
- Establishment of a new Centre of Excellence in Dharwad focused on artificial intelligence and quantum computing.
