Pragmatic Semiconductor Names Peter Herweck as New Chair to Drive FlexIC Technology Growth

Pragmatic Semiconductor announced the appointment of Peter Herweck as Chair of its Board of Directors, effective immediately. Herweck succeeds Erik Langaker, who has served as Chair since 2020 and will remain a director until October 31, 2025, to support the transition.

Herweck brings over 40 years of experience in technology, industrial automation, and advanced manufacturing. He previously served as CEO of Schneider Electric SE, where he led a strategic transformation focused on digitization, electrification, and sustainability. Before that, he was CEO of AVEVA plc, overseeing its shift to a cloud-first SaaS model and the acquisition of OSIsoft. Herweck also held senior roles at Siemens AG, including CEO of the Process Industries and Drives Division and Chief Strategy Officer, shaping the company’s digitization and portfolio strategy. He currently serves as a non-executive director at Teradyne Inc. (NASDAQ: TER) and has worked in Germany, China, Japan, Switzerland, and the US.

Langaker’s tenure as Chair included overseeing Pragmatic’s $231 million Series D funding round, the largest venture raise for a European semiconductor business, and the expansion of its global manufacturing footprint and commercialization of its FlexIC technology.
