Credo to Improve AI Connectivity Capability with Acquisition of Hyperlume’s MicroLED Technology

Credo  announced completion of its acquisition of Hyperlume, Inc., a privately-held developer of MicroLED-based optical interconnect technology for chip-to-chip communication. The acquisition integrates Hyperlume’s microLED technology into Credo’s portfolio of high-speed connectivity solutions, targeting the needs of AI-driven data infrastructure.

Hyperlume’s technology utilizes ultra-fast microLEDs and low-power circuitry to address energy and bandwidth limitations of traditional electronic interconnects. This addition enables Credo to offer solutions that support the high-speed, energy-efficient, and low-latency data transmission required for scaling AI, cloud, and hyperscale data center networks.
