NAND Flash Revenue Rises 22% in 2Q25, SK Group’s Market Share Climbs to 21%, Reports TrendForce
TrendForce reported that NAND Flash industry revenue grew 22% quarter-on-quarter to $14.67 billion in 2Q25, driven by significant increases in bit shipments despite slight declines in average selling prices (ASPs). Supplier production cuts balanced supply and demand, while supportive policies in China and the U.S. boosted demand.
For 3Q25, demand is expected to stabilize as China’s subsidies and U.S. tariff-driven stockpiling effects wane. ASPs may see slight increases, but weak consumer demand and earlier inventory stocking are likely to slow growth, with industry revenue projected to expand at a reduced pace.
Top Five NAND Flash Suppliers in 2Q25:
Samsung recorded a 23.8% QoQ revenue increase to $5.2 billion, supported by strong enterprise SSD demand for AI servers and strategic product mix adjustments that reduced inventory. Its market share rose to 32.9%, maintaining its lead.
SK Group (SK hynix + Solidigm) saw revenue jump 52.5% QoQ to $3.34 billion, driven by Solidigm’s enterprise SSD shipment growth and SK hynix’s 321L NAND Flash volume production. Its market share increased from 16.6% to 21.1%, securing second place.
Kioxia reported an 11.4% QoQ revenue rise to $2.14 billion, fueled by AI server demand and normalized PC and smartphone customer inventories, ranking third.
