Synopsys Adopts NVIDIA RTX PRO Servers to Enhance AI-Driven Simulation for EDA and Ansys Workloads

Synopsys announced its adoption of NVIDIA RTX PRO Servers, powered by the NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition GPU, to accelerate compute-intensive, AI-driven simulation workloads across silicon, systems, and AI applications. The servers, featuring double the memory capacity of the previous generation, support enhanced simulations, rendering, and data processing for detailed models.

The RTX 6000 PRO Server is designed to handle large-scale simulation workloads, including Ansys Fluent and Ansys Lumerical FDTD models with billions of cells. Supported Synopsys products include Ansys Fluent for fluid simulation, Ansys FreeFlow for smoothed-particle hydrodynamics, Ansys Lumerical FDTD for 3D electromagnetic simulation, Ansys Perceive EM for radio frequency channel and radar signature simulation, Ansys Rocky for particle dynamics, and Ansys Speos for optical and lighting simulation. Integration with NVIDIA Omniverse enables visualization of radar responses simulated with Ansys Perceive EM.

The NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell GPUs feature 188 RT cores for modeling light and electromagnetic wave behavior, improving efficiency in Perceive EM and Speos simulations. With 96 GB of GDDR7 memory and a 512-bit bus delivering approximately 1.79 TB/s bandwidth, the servers support la...
