Siemens Launches Cre8Ventures Program to Boost Semiconductor Innovation in European Universities
Siemens Digital Industries Software, in collaboration with Arm and the University of Southampton’s School of Electronics and Computer Science (ECS), announced the Cre8Ventures Open Higher Education Program to support student-led semiconductor innovation across Europe’s technical universities.
The program integrates Siemens’ Cre8Ventures initiative, Digital Twin Marketplace, and EDA tools with Arm’s Academic Access and Flexible Access for Startups programs, alongside ECS’s lab-to-fab capabilities. It provides students with access to industrial-grade tools, design platforms, workshops, entrepreneurial bootcamps, and commercial licensing pathways. The structured process guides students through Proof-of-Technology, Proof-of-Concept, and Proof-of-Value stages to develop academic projects into investor-ready startups.
Supported by the Semiconductor Education Alliance, a consortium led by Arm, the initiative connects industry, academia, and governments to scale semiconductor education. The University of Southampton’s ECS serves as the founding academic partner, offering expertise in AI, cybersecurity, embedded systems, and semiconductors, and acting as a hub for hands-on education and startup in...
