Ansys Integrates NVIDIA Omniverse for Enhanced AI and Digital Twin Simulations

Ansys, a part of Synopsys, has entered an agreement with NVIDIA to license, sell, and support NVIDIA Omniverse technology within Ansys simulation solutions. The integration, starting with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and autonomous solutions, enables seamless data preparation, interoperability, and access to the Omniverse ecosystem through Ansys’ global network of direct sellers and channel partners.

The collaboration utilizes Universal Scene Description (OpenUSD) to connect Ansys applications with Omniverse, streamlining workflows across various simulation tools. This facilitates visualization of fluid dynamics in virtual environments, aiding engineers in analyzing complex datasets for faster design optimization in CFD applications. The integration also supports high-fidelity outputs for developing, training, testing, and validating autonomous systems, with automated scenario generation to ensure safety, precision, efficiency, and reliability.

PyAnsys, a set of Python packages, allows users to customize and automate simulations within Omniverse-based applications. An example is PyAnsys-Heart, a digital twin of the human heart that uses a speech-to-text interface to provide simulation insights with minimal engineering expertise required.
