Raja Koduri’s OXMIQ Labs Enters AI and Semiconductor Space with GPU Innovations
Raja Koduri, former GPU architect at Intel, AMD, and Apple, has launched OXMIQ Labs Inc., a GPU software and intellectual property company focused on advancing AI and graphics computing. The company, which emerged after two years of stealth research and development, is led by a team with over 500 years of combined GPU and AI experience, holding hundreds of patents and a track record of generating over $100 billion in product revenue at previous firms. OXMIQ aims to redesign GPUs for multimodal AI applications, integrating text, images, audio, video, and 3D environments.
India’s government initiatives, Digital India and the India Semiconductor Mission, align with OXMIQ’s licensing-first model, which provides Indian chipmakers, AI startups, and research institutes access to advanced GPU intellectual property without significant capital investment. Koduri stated that OXMIQ is developing a technology stack to support India’s zetta-scale AI infrastructure, aiming to foster a “trillion-agent economy.”
OXMIQ maintains ties to India’s creative technology sector through Koduri’s role as a strategic advisor to Mihira Visual Labs, a company he co-founded with filmmaker SS Rajamouli and producer Shobu Yarlagadda.
