Siemens Digital Industries Software, in collaboration with SK keyfoundry and Korea Siemens EDA, has introduced a 130nm automotive Process Design Kit (PDK) tailored for use with Calibre PERC software. This PDK, one of the first Korean domestic established node processes to support both schematic and layout verification for interconnect reliability, enables precise reliability verification for automotive power semiconductors.
The PDK allows domestic and international fabless companies to utilize SK keyfoundry’s 130nm process to optimize analog and mixed-signal semiconductor designs, addressing the increasing complexity of designs at this node. By integrating Siemens’ Calibre PERC solution with SK keyfoundry’s process technologies, the PDK facilitates design-stage verification that accounts for manufacturing constraints, improving wafer productivity and yield.
Ilsup Jin, R&D Senior Vice President at SK keyfoundry, stated that the PDK aims to enhance design efficiency and reliability for customers developing automotive semiconductor products. Junan Kim, General Manager of Siemens EDA Korea, noted that the solution supports SK keyfoundry’s differentiation in the power semiconductor and IoT markets.
SK keyfoundry plans to deepen its partnership with Siemens to develop optimized design solutions and strengthen its position in the foundry market.
