Ayar Labs Bolsters AI Connectivity with New Leadership and Global Expansion for Co-Packaged Optics

Ayar Labs, a company focused on co-packaged optics (CPO) for large-scale AI workloads, has appointed Vivek Khanzodé as Vice President of Engineering and expanded its global operations. The company opened a new office in Hsinchu, Taiwan, and doubled the size of its San Jose headquarters to support high-volume manufacturing and CPO adoption.

Khanzodé, previously with Marvell Technology, Inc., brings over 30 years of engineering leadership experience, having managed pre- and post-silicon validation for products shipped in hundreds of millions annually. His role will focus on scaling complex semiconductor products for commercial adoption. Scott Clark, Vice President of Manufacturing & Operations, will oversee the new Taiwan operations, leveraging the region’s semiconductor ecosystem and talent pool.

Mark Wade, co-founder and CEO, stated that the Taiwan expansion positions Ayar Labs within the global semiconductor ecosystem, enabling partnerships and access to talent. The moves align with the company’s efforts to advance CPO solutions for AI infrastructure.
