Power Integrations Appoints Jennifer Lloyd as New CEO Amid Leadership Transition

Power Integrations  has named Jennifer A. Lloyd, PhD, as its next chief executive officer, effective July 21. Lloyd will succeed Balu Balakrishnan, who has served as CEO since 2002. Lloyd has also been reappointed to the company’s board of directors.

Lloyd brings extensive experience from Analog Devices, Inc., where she has held various engineering and business roles since 1997. Most recently, she served as corporate vice president, leading the multi-market power business unit, overseeing product development, strategy, and profit and loss for a large global team. Her prior roles included leadership of Analog’s precision franchise and its healthcare and consumer unit, managing businesses exceeding $1 billion. Lloyd holds doctoral, master’s, and bachelor’s degrees in electrical engineering and computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She has authored numerous technical papers, holds eight U.S. patents, and has been active in the IEEE community, contributing to conferences such as the International Solid-State Circuits Conference (ISSCC), the Custom Integrated Circuits Conference (CICC), and the VLSI Symposia.
