Kulicke & Soffa and Lavorro Partner to Advance AI-Driven Smart Manufacturing for Semiconductor Industry

Kulicke and Soffa Industries, a provider of semiconductor assembly solutions, and Lavorro Inc., a developer of generative AI for semiconductor manufacturing, have announced a strategic partnership to deliver smart manufacturing solutions. The collaboration integrates Kulicke & Soffa’s APTURA equipment and KNeXt connectivity and fleet management with Lavorro’s AI-enabled platform, including FabAssist.ai and ToolAssist.ai, to provide actionable insights, expert-guided solutions, and scalable knowledge reuse across the semiconductor value chain.

The partnership focuses on enhancing factory performance, reducing operational costs, and scaling expertise through intelligent knowledge capture. Lavorro’s platform employs patented natural language processing and machine learning to deliver virtual assistants, such as “Lucy,” which support issue diagnosis, recipe optimization, and automated maintenance workflows. These tools aim to improve mean-time-to-repair (MTTR), mean-time-between-failures (MTBF), workforce onboarding, and decision-making in customer facilities.
