Nordic Semiconductor Acquires Memfault, Introduces Chip-to-Cloud Platform for Connected Product Lifecycle Management

Nordic Semiconductor, a provider of low-power wireless connectivity solutions, has acquired Memfault Inc., a cloud platform provider for large-scale deployments of connected products. The acquisition enables Nordic to offer a comprehensive chip-to-cloud platform that integrates hardware, software, and cloud services to support the development, deployment, and management of connected products.

The platform aims to simplify product development and reduce time-to-market by providing tools for continuous software upgrades, enhancing security, performance, power efficiency, and functionality of connected devices throughout their lifecycle. Memfault’s platform, known for device observability, management, and secure over-the-air software updates, will be integrated into Nordic’s nRF Cloud services and product portfolio.
