India-Taiwan science and technology cooperation opens call for 2025 joint research proposals in semiconductors
The Department of Science and Technology (DST) of India and the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) of Taiwan have announced a call for joint research project proposals under the India-Taiwan Programme of Cooperation in Science and Technology, pursuant to a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in April 2007 between the Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre (TECC) in New Delhi and the India-Taipei Association (ITA) in Taipei.
The call, launched on June 2, 2025, invites proposals for up to 15 joint research projects, with a closing date of July 31, 2025. Projects are expected to commence on January 1, 2026, and will span three years, concluding in 2028. No extensions beyond this period will be considered.

The programme supports research specifically in the area of Semiconductor and Communication, among other fields.
Financial Support and Mobility
Funding primarily covers mobility costs for scientists and researchers, including international and domestic travel expenses for exchange visits between India and Taiwan. Each project allows up to two visits per year from each side, with a maximum duration of 60 days for junior scientists and 30 days for senior scientists.
