Adant and QuantalRF collaborate to enhance Wi-Fi access point antenna solutions

Adant Technologies  has entered into a strategic partnership with QuantalRF, a developer of RF semiconductor and antenna solutions. The commercial agreement involves Adant integrating QuantalRF’s DockOn compound planar loop (CPL) antenna technology into its Wi-Fi access point (AP) antenna solutions for enterprise, carrier-home, and retail-home markets.
The collaboration leverages Adant’s smart antenna platform, which uses spatial optimization and beamforming algorithms to improve signal strength, range, and link reliability in Wi-Fi AP deployments. QuantalRF’s CPL antenna technology, designed with over 80% efficiency, more than 30dB isolation, and an omnidirectional pattern, aims to reduce multipath interference and enhance coverage uniformity. The combined solution provides OEMs with a production-ready antenna subsystem intended to simplify integration and reduce time to market for next-generation Wi-Fi systems.
The partnership is currently active, with design collaborations underway involving Tier 1 carriers and plans for further expansion. The solution supports 2×2 and 4×4 MIMO configurations for Wi-Fi 6, 6E, and 7, targeting a market estimated to require over 1 billion antennas annually.
Key aspects of the collaboration include improved signal reliability, range, and throughput for Wi-Fi 7 deployments, reduced design complexity...
