China based Calterah unveils mmWave radar and UWB SoC innovations at Calterah day 2025
China based Calterah Semiconductor Technology Co., Ltd. announced advancements in its mmWave radar chips and introduced the Dubhe ultra-wideband (UWB) SoC series at its event Calterah Day 2025 on June 6. The event highlighted developments in imaging radar, ADAS radar, short-range radar, and the launch of the IEEE 802.15.4ab-compliant Dubhe UWB SoC series, targeting intelligent and connected automotive applications.

Calterah’s mmWave radar solutions address three automotive radar markets. The Andes Premium 8T8R Imaging Radar Solution, using two cascading Andes RoP chips with waveguide antennas, achieves full-range height measurement up to 350 meters. Field tests demonstrate accurate detection of a gantry’s height over 300 meters, a traffic cone beyond 100 meters, and differentiation between road barriers and nearby pedestrians. This solution is in mass production with leading Chinese automotive OEMs.
The Alps-Pro RoP ADAS Radar Solution doubles pedestrian detection range compared to the standard Alps-Pro SoC while maintaining full signal processing capability. Field tests show improved point cloud accuracy, angular resolution, and density compared to a competitor’s low-cost variant. It has been adopted by mainstream ...
