Newtrace membrane-less electrolyzer tech based green hydrogen target semiconductor wafer fab plants

Newtrace is accelerating the global fight against climate change with its cutting-edge membrane-less electrolyzer systems. Designed to push the cost-quality frontier of green hydrogen production, Newtrace’s technology promises to make clean energy more affordable, scalable, and reliable, positioning the company as a frontrunner in the race to achieve $1/kg green hydrogen.

Newtrace’s alkaline membrane-less electrolyzers boast the industry’s lowest capital expenditure (Capex), highly efficient catalysts, and a dramatically simplified supply chain. With stack-level energy consumption of ≤48.2 kWh/kg and system-level consumption of ≤52 kWh/kg, the technology achieves up to 20% cost savings compared to traditional alkaline electrolyzers. This efficiency translates to billions in savings for large-scale projects, reducing the renewable energy capacity required for a 1 Mtpa hydrogen plant from 24 GW to 20 GW, slashing project Capex from $22.6 billion to $18.5 billion.
The company’s vertically integrated Balance of Plant (BOP) enhances reliability and affordability. Key innovations include a low-cost in-house gas processing unit, a patented Bubble Coalescer for compact system design, and an Active Shunt Current Compensation System to minimize energy losses. Newtrace’s automated, software-defined control system ensures continuous data-dri...
