IIT Madras to host symposium and workshop on UAS electronics in July 2025

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) will organize a Symposium and Workshop on Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Electronics from July 14 to 19, 2025, as part of the SwaYaan initiative by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India.
The event includes lectures on UAS fundamentals, rotorcraft and fixed-wing operations, aerodynamics, regulations, and simulators. Participants will engage in hands-on sessions covering quadcopter assembly, battery setup, flight tuning, real-time flying, and mission planning. Drone kits will be provided during the workshop.
The program is open to faculty and research scholars from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)-approved institutions in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, and related fields. Participation is limited to 50 individuals.
