Det-Tronics, a Bloomington, Minnesota-based company specializing in fire and gas safety systems, announced the acquisition of R.C. Systems LLC, a Texas-based company focused on gas detection products. Founded in 1979, R.C. Systems developed the first “through the window” interface for gas detection transmitters, allowing calibration without removing the lid in hazardous environments. The company offers detectors, controllers, wireless solutions, and sampling systems.
Lu Wang, Managing Director of Det-Tronics, stated that the acquisition aligns with the company’s focus on delivering life safety solutions for high-risk environments. The acquisition, the first under Spectrum Safety Solutions, enhances Det-Tronics’ gas detection and controller offerings and expands its applications into industries such as chemical, steel, food and beverage, water and wastewater, and agriculture. Det-Tronics plans to deploy R.C. Systems’ technology in North America initially, with global expansion to follow.
