Tata Electronics and BEL sign MoU to develop indigenous electronics and semiconductor solutions
Tata Electronics and Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on June 5, 2025, at Bombay House, Tata Group’s headquarters in Mumbai. The agreement, signed by Dr. Randhir Thakur, CEO and Managing Director of Tata Electronics, and Shri Manoj Jain, Chairman & Managing Director of BEL, aims to advance India’s self-reliance in electronics and semiconductor solutions.

The MoU facilitates collaboration to explore end-to-end solutions for domestic requirements. Tata Electronics and BEL will evaluate opportunities in Semiconductor Fabrication (Fab), Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT), and design services, focusing on products like Microcontrollers (MCUs), Systems-on-Chip (SoCs), Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMICs), and other processors based on BEL’s current and future needs. The partnership will also focus on developing manufacturing solutions for BEL’s products through knowledge sharing and resource utilization.
