Reflex Drive integrates Infineon OptiMOS and MOTIX for UAV motor control solutions

Reflex Drive, an India-based deep tech startup, has selected Infineon Technologies AG’s power devices for its next-generation motor control solutions for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The integration of Infineon’s OptiMOS 80 V and 100 V MOSFETs enables Reflex Drive’s electric speed controllers (ESCs) to achieve improved thermal management and higher efficiency, supporting high power density in a compact design. Additionally, Infineon’s MOTIX IMD701 controller solution, combining the XMC1404 microcontroller with the MOTIX 6EDL7141 3-phase gate driver IC, provides compact, precise, and reliable motor control, resulting in enhanced UAV performance, reliability, and extended flight times.
Nenad Belancic, Global Application Manager Robotics and Drones at Infineon, stated that the partnership with Reflex Drive supports Infineon’s market launch strategy and presence in India, noting Reflex Drive’s expertise with customers who have obtained aviation certifications and their presentations at international industry events. Amrit Singh, Founder of Reflex Drive, highlighted the collaboration’s role in advancing UAV electronics, stating that drones have potential applications in industries such as agriculture and logistics.
