Dharwad, Karnataka based TIEA Connectors, secures INR 22 Cr to expand manufacturing and R&D in India’s electromechanical connector sector

TIEA Connectors Private Limited, a B2B electronic system design and manufacturing (ESDM) startup, has raised INR 22 crore in a funding round led by Jamwant Ventures and Valour Capital, with participation from 8X Ventures and IvyCap. The funds will be utilized to expand manufacturing capacity, enhance research and development (R&D), and address increasing demand in sectors such as electric vehicles (EVs), drones, aerospace, and defence, while reducing reliance on imported components.

Founded in 2020 by Ajith Sasidharan (CEO) and Punit Shridhar Joshi (CTO) and was incubatef at FSID, IISc, TIEA Connectors specializes in designing and manufacturing customized low-voltage miniature electronic connectors and contact solutions. Its product portfolio includes fire-retardant connectors, wireless power transmission connectors, harsh-environment connectors with enhanced mechanical stability, and specialized solutions for EVs, drones, consumer electronics, aerospace, and defence. The company also focuses on low-voltage connectors like RJ45 Ethernet, PoDL Ethernet, USB Type-C waterproof connectors, and compact waterproof multi-pin connectors for engine and airbag ECUs, as well as high-voltage connectors for hybrid and electric vehicles.
