HARMAN Introduces Samsung Neo QLED Display in Tata Motors Harrier.ev

 HARMAN, a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., announced the launch of a 14.53-inch floating in-vehicle display for the Tata Motors Harrier.ev, integrating Samsung’s Neo QLED technology, licensed and optimized by HARMAN for automotive use. This marks the first application of Neo QLED in a vehicle.
The display features a cadmium-free Quantum Dot design with Blue Mini-LED control, 1200-nit peak brightness, 95% NTSC color gamut, and perfect black levels. HARMAN’s real-time visual control algorithms manage image output to reduce power consumption, suitable for electric vehicles. The display has bezels under 5 mm and meets automotive durability and safety standards.
Shilpa Dely, Vice President of Displays at HARMAN, stated that the collaboration combines Samsung’s display technology with HARMAN’s automotive expertise for in-vehicle use. Anand Kulkarni, Chief Products Officer at Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited, noted that the display enhances the Harrier.ev’s in-cabin experience. Sanjeev Kulkarni, Vice President of Sales at HARMAN, highlighted the decade-long partnership with Tata Motors, which began with JBL audio systems and now includes branded displays.
The launch builds on HARMAN’s portfolio of automotive technologies, combining Samsung’s consumer electronics expertise with HARMAN’s automotive focus to address consumer and automaker needs.
