Synaptics appoints Rahul Patel as President and CEO

Synaptics Incorporated (Nasdaq: SYNA) announced the appointment of Rahul Patel as President, Chief Executive Officer, and Director, effective immediately. Patel succeeds Ken Rizvi, who served as Interim CEO since February 2025. Rizvi will continue as the company’s CFO.

Patel brings over 30 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, with a focus on wireless connectivity solutions for devices including handsets, tablets, PCs, wearables, IoT applications, and networking and broadband solutions for enterprise and home markets. Most recently, he served as SVP and Group General Manager of the Connectivity, Broadband, & Networking Group at Qualcomm, managing a multi-billion-dollar portfolio. Prior to Qualcomm, Patel held senior leadership roles at Broadcom for 13 years, including Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Wireless Connectivity Group, where he contributed to the company’s Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS market presence.
